Mr. Allen is the Chief Executive Officer of RWA Financial Services, Inc. and Chairman of the Board for New American Farm Ventures, Inc., located in Austin, Texas. His professional experience measures 33 years. Growing up in rural Iowa, Mr. Allen has been involved in cash grain merchandising, commodity analysis in feed grains, oilseeds, specialty crops, livestock, and cotton. RWA's producer clients span 12 U.S. States with over 500,000 acres under management. Because of numbers like these, RWA is a long-recognized leader in agricultural market planning and risk management. Mr. Allen is regularly featured at state banking associations (including the American Bankers National Association for 13 years), national agricultural organizations, and universities. He has also been a faculty member for the Universities of Colorado and Wisconsin Graduate Banking Schools and Mexico's Banking Institute in Mexico City. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree at Simpson College located in Indianola, Iowa. He completed and received a certificate in Harvard Business School's Senior Executive Program and the Risk Management Curriculum at the John F. Kennedy School of Government in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Currently, he is becoming highly involved in the ethanol industry, speaking and consulting for ethanol related organizations and farm groups. Randy provides a 3-year outlook for corn prices, supply, and demand which is extremely important to the profitability between buyers and sellers alike. Consulting services revolve around ethanol management and farm clientele relationships for creating and maintaining satisfactory customer quality and delivery demand.
Randy is the coordinator for Spring Rain Ministries a Christian farm organization. He serves as a Member for Rural Health Resources, Montana State University and he also serves on the Salvation Army Board-Austin, Texas. His favorite hobby is photography (published in Parade Magazine On-line, April 2007). Randy has been married to Wendy for 36 years and they have 3 Grandchildren (and another one on the way!)

Martin L. Andreas recently retired from Archer Daniels Midland Company headquartered in Decatur, IL, after 35 years of service to the organization. Mr. Andreas began his career in 1970 as Executive Vice President of Corn Sweeteners in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, a business he and his father purchased and later sold to ADM in 1973. From 1975-1986, Mr. Andreas served as the President of ADM's Corn Division. He held many executive positions within ADM including Director of Corporate Marketing and Senior Advisor to the Chief Executive until his retirement in September 2005.
Martin L. Andreas assisted in the development of 55% high fructose corn syrup which totally replaced sugar in the U.S. soft drinks industry and was instrumental in ADM's pioneering of fuel ethanol starting in 1978. Immediately following his retirement, he served an additional year as a consultant to ADM in the areas of energy and government affairs which ended in 2006.
ADM is a world leader in agricultural processing and is one of the world's largest processors of corn, soybeans, wheat and cocoa. ADM is also a leader in the production of soy meal and oil, ethanol, corn sweeteners and flour. ADM has over 26,000 employees, more than 250 processing plants worldwide and annual sales of $36 billion.
Currently, Mr. Andreas is President of the Andreas Corporation which is a stock investment family business he manages with his two sons. He finds time for civic and business involvement by serving on the boards of the Illinois Agricultural Leadership Foundation and Mt. Mercy College. In addition, he recently agreed to serve on the Trees Forever board
Mr. Andreas is married and has four children, eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. His hobbies include gardening and flower photography. |

A native of Washington, Iowa, Russ has won several essay competitions—one on rural electric cooperatives and another on a solution to the Arab-Israeli conflict. He won a trip to the Middle East and became the first U.S. student to meet Yassir Arafat. He also met Queen Noor of Jordan and Foreign Minister Khaddam of Syria, as well as hundreds of others directly and indirectly affected by the ongoing conflict in that region. Russ has been interviewed on Good Morning America.
Russ studied French at La Sorbonne and worked with U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley in Washington, D.C. He hosted a radio talk show at Central College where he gained his BA in Political Science and French.
Russ helped establish a labor union at an airline where he worked and served as the first president in San Francisco. He also served on the board of directors for the world's largest flight attendant union, the Association of Flight Attendants in Washington, D.C.
As a recruiter in corporate America, Russ orchestrated the largest offer package for a CEO, at a start-up, in the history of biotechnology ($20+M).
Russ recently completed his Masters degree in Strategic Leadership toward Sustainability at Blekinge Institute of Technology in Sweden. He plans to continue working towards his doctorate in politics, with an emphasis on sustainable public policy. Russ is the principal of Cornix Albeo, LLC—an international consulting firm focused on strategic sustainability.

Thomas C. Dorr joined USDA in 2001 and was appointed by President George W. Bush in 2002 to be the Under Secretary for Rural Development. On July 27, 2005, he was sworn into office by Agriculture Secretary Mike Johanns.
Rural Development consists of three program areas that provide up to $18 billion annual funding authority for loans, grants, and technical assistance to rural residents, communities, and businesses. Rural Development also holds a $94 billion portfolio of existing business, housing, and infrastructure loans to rural America. Rural Development has nearly 6,500 employees located across the United States and in Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, and the Western Pacific Trust territories.
As Under Secretary for Rural Development he serves as the Chairman of the USDA Energy Council which is responsible for advancing the President's Energy Initiative. The USDA Energy Council strives to promote the production of domestically grown fuel.
Mr. Dorr has broad agricultural, financial and business experience. He has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the 7th District Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, the Iowa Board of Regents, and as a member and officer of the Iowa and National Corn Growers Associations. Mr. Dorr was the President of a family farming and agribusiness company for 30 years.
Prior to his current service at the Department of Agriculture, Mr. Dorr was the President of a family agribusiness company consisting of a corn and soybean farm, a state licensed commercial grain elevator and warehouse, and two limited liability companies.
Mr. Dorr, from Marcus, Iowa, graduated from Morningside College with a B.S. degree in business administration.

Yoderville Biodiesel Cooperative was founded to prove that people have the ability to take an active role in their own energy independence. Over the past few years Yoderville has become a leader in non-commercial production of biodiesel utilizing local waste resources. As a 25 year veteran of the foodservice industry Steve has a unique perspective on kitchen education and elevating waste to resource. Steve currently designs and manufactures small scale biodiesel production systems as well as focuses on the education and training of individuals on the art of quality biodiesel production and proper environmental stewardship. Through monthly workshops and speaking engagements in the US and Canada Steve has started hundreds of people on the path to a more sustainable future.

Dr. Jim Graeber grew up on a grain farm in Indiana and went on to attend Purdue University where he obtained a B.S. in Soil and Crop Science. From there he went to the University of Illinois where he received an M.S. in agronomy working with source/sink manipulation in soybean. He joined Northrup King, now part of Syngenta Seeds, in 1989 as an agronomist and, while working for Northrup King, obtained a Ph.D. in agronomy working with Bt corn, also at the University of Illinois. Jim began working with specialty market in 1997 and currently works for Syngenta Seeds as an Enhanced Grains Market Development Manager. He is located in Clinton, IL.

Mr. Hertz is a principal and officer of Hertz Farm Management, Inc. which provides complete professional farm management, real estate sales, acquisitions, and auctions, and farm and commercial appraisal services, as well as evaluation, acquisition, financial counseling and feasibility analysis for individuals and corporations. Hertz Farm Management was founded in 1946 and is one of the largest employee owned farm management companies in the United States with 14 offices in Iowa, Illinois, Nebraska, and Indiana, and manages over 450,000 acres throughout the United States and Brazil.
Mr. Hertz grew up on an Iowa farm and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Business from Iowa State University and a Master of Business Administration degree in International Finance from the University of Michigan. Before joining Hertz Farm Management, he was an international and investment banker in London and Chicago and worked in public accounting and consulting. He is an Accredited Land Consultant and involved with many local, state, and national organizations.

He is a director, Iowa State University Research Park; director, Truth About Trade and Technology; and steering committee member, Natural Resource Solutions, LLC, a non-partisan group dedicated to developing public policy with a goal of US energy use to be 25 percent biomass-based by 2025. Chairman Western Iowa Energy, a biodiesel plant. Serving as a director for three other biodiesel plants.
Bill's past positions include DOE/USDA Biomass Technical Advisory Committee, National Corn Growers Association Policy Team; director, National Corn Growers Association; director, US Grains Council; member Governor of Iowa's Ag Value Growth Foundation; and member, Iowa State University Extension Council. He has served as President of the Calhoun County (Iowa) Farm Bureau, the Rockwell City School Board and the Iowa Corn Growers Association.

Katrina Fritz Intwala joined Plug Power as Government Programs Manager in January 2005 and was appointed Director of Government Relations in November 2005. Prior to joining Plug Power, Ms. Fritz Intwala was the Managing Director of the Wright Fuel Cell Group, where she was responsible for industrial and government relations, technology transfer and finance. She has also held positions at SCO and Tarantella, Inc. in field marketing, channel marketing and organizational development.
Ms. Fritz Intwala represents Plug Power on the New Energy New York Board of Directors, the Ohio Fuel Cell Coalition Board of Directors and the California Stationary Fuel Cell Collaborative Industry Advisory Panel. Mark Jenner, PhD, is Chief Analyst at Biomass Rules, LLC. A biomass economist, Jenner has a vision for bioenergy challenges and opportunities that is unparalleled. The monthly newsletter he writes, Burning Bio News, is a 'scorecard' for bioenergy adoption and can be found on his website along with links to daily breaking biomass news (www.biomassrules.com).
Biomass Rules, LLC is rooted in agriculture and environmental compliance. Current projects include moving livestock producers from manure compliance to manure revenue and developing a model regulatory index that credits the environmental benefits and reduced liabilities from biomass energy production.
Jenner wrote the BioTown, USA Sourcebook which is a biomass primer on locally available materials. He also developed the locally grown, biomass power plant concept for the Indiana Department of Agriculture's BioTown, USA project. Jenner has conducted data analysis for USDA-NASS, guided on-farm value-added manure projects and planning. Prior to forming Biomass Rules, LLC, he served nine years as manure visionary for the Farm Bureau.

Employed by Alliant Energy since 1991, he was manager of Agricultural Customer Services for 14 years and recently accepted the newly created position of Manager of Biofuels development, responsible for bio-based renewable energy programs for Alliant Energy's proposed base load generation facilities in Cassville, WI and Marshalltown, IA. He also consults on anaerobic digestion agriculture and industrial biomass to energy projects.
He served as an administrator at Blackhawk Technical College, Janesville, WI, for 16 years where he also taught comparative anatomy & physiology, animal breeding and genetics.
Mr. Johnson is a graduate of Southern Illinois University and the UW of Wisconsin-Madison, with degrees in Animal Science and Reproductive Physiology. He is published in several peer reviewed scientific journals.
He his wife Tana and their dog Katie live outside Pardeeville, WI, they also own a 150-acre farm near Ontario, WI. Bill and his wife enjoy hunting, fishing and other wildlife enhancement and conservation activities.

Doug joined Alliant Energy - Interstate Power and Light (IPL) in March of 1998 and is currently a project engineer in the account management section of IPL. In addition to helping IPL's large commercial and industrial customers find energy efficiency improvement opportunities, Doug is also the "go-to" person when it comes to bioenergy/biorenewable energy systems. Doug helps educate customers on such topic as biomass to energy systems, anaerobic digesters, landfill gas energy systems, and will also help the customers implement these systems.
Doug is also a key member of a team that has a focus on helping ethanol and biodiesel plants, located in and near the IPL service territory reduce their operating costs by helping them find and implement projects to reduce their overall energy costs.
Prior to joining IPL-Alliant Energy, Doug was the Facilities Engineering Director for Iowa Methodist Medical Center and Iowa Lutheran Hospital, both located in Des Moines, IA. Doug is a mechanical engineering graduate of Iowa State University and is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Iowa. Doug is also a Certified Energy Manager.

A lawyer by training, Chuck spent a decade in the appliance business, five years as President of Amana Refrigeration and until 1998 as Vice President Administration of Maytag. Between appliance assignments, he was the CEO of Breakthrough, an Iowa City start-up software and consulting company engaged in developing effective early literacy programs for school systems.
Chuck is a director of Swift Newspapers, Inc. and Cedar Rapids Bank and Trust, is a trustee of Coe College, and is active in many civic and charitable organizations, including United Way, the Hall-Perrine Foundation and Junior Achievement.
He and his wife Mary Ann live on an acreage west of Iowa City. They have three sons - Nate, Scott and Nick.

Lisa Pucelik has worked in an energy efficiency role at Alliant Energy since the fall of 2004. During her tenure she has worked with all customer segments seeking solutions to the unique energy needs of commercial & industrial, small business, agricultural and residential customers.
In her current position as the Product Manager for the residential energy efficiency programs for Alliant Energy's customers in Iowa, Minnesota and Wisconsin, Lisa manages a wide variety of programs with a budget in excess of $13 million. Her willingness to partner with businesses and communities to deliver energy efficiency opportunities in creative new ways has resulted in strong program impacts which contribute to the Iowa economy, while reducing energy use.
A passionate advocate for energy efficiency, her enthusiasm is evident in her participation in the Alliant Energy Speakers Bureau as she regularly delivers the message of energy efficiency to schools and community groups. Additionally, her professional associations include the Association of Energy Service Professionals, Consortium for Energy Efficiency and Board Member for the Iowa Association for Energy Efficiency.
Lisa received her Bachelors Degree in Public Relations from Mount Mercy College and is an experienced communications professional having worked in the marketing and communications field for over 15 years. She is an active community volunteer sharing her time and talents with a variety of non-profit organizations including Junior Achievement, United Way, Four Oaks/Cornerstone and Jackson Elementary School. He has carried out this work in Great Britain, Canada, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Portugal, Germany, India. Mr. Richards has been invited to assist the Richard Branson School of Business at CIDA University in South Africa as they set up soy wax production as a new industry for South Africa.
Mr. Richards is the Founder and President of Soyawax International. He has served in this position for 18 years. This innovative green business has been named National Business of the Year by the US Small Business Administration, cited as "Best Practice in Community Economic Development by then President Bill Clinton at the U.S. Conference of Mayors and was named as the Environmentally and Socially Responsible Business of the Year at the National Natural Products EXPO. Shelby Sieren is the 16 year old daughter of Scott and Renee Sieren of Keota. She is a junior this year at Keota High School. Last year, Shelby conducted a science experiment dealing with using glycerin, a natural by-product of biodiesel, and combining it with natural biomasses such as prairie grass, corn stalks, wood chips, leaves, and soybean stubble for an alternative heat source. Shelby attended the Eastern Iowa Science Fair in Cedar Rapids and was a Finalist. She also attended the Iowa State Science and Technology Fair of Iowa in Ames and won several awards including the Iowa Energy Scholarship and was selected as the top Individual Project. After winning this, Shelby had the great opportunity to attend the International Science Fair in New Mexico this past May. There she was among 1500 other students from around the world and placed top 16 in the Energy and Transportation Category. Shelby has pursued a patent and has spoken to several interested organizations and individuals throughout the state about her project. |

Ed Williams is the founder of Century Farm Harvest Heat. After his education at Iowa State University, Ed returned to his roots, becoming the fifth generation to work the family farm begun in1850 near Iowa City, Iowa.
In 2002 he began branching out into the solid biofuels industry. Century Farm Harvest Heat was a Founding Member of BIOWA and Ed is a director representing conservation & environmental issues. He was recognized as the Iowa State Soil Commissioner of the year in 2000
Ed has been published in numerous magazines & publications, including "Eco Structure", a magazine about sustainable building & products. He recently appeared on CNBC's "Squawk on the Street" and presented on a panel at this year's World Congress of Industrial Biotechnology. R. James Woolsey joined Booz Allen Hamilton in July 2002 as a Vice President and officer. He is with the firm's Energy practice, located in McLean, Virginia. Previously Mr. Woolsey served in the U.S. Government on five different occasions, where he held Presidential appointments in two Republican and two Democratic administrations. He was also previously a partner at the law firm of Shea & Gardner in Washington, DC, where he practiced for 22 years in the fields of civil litigation and alternative dispute resolution.
During his 12 years of government service Mr. Woolsey was: Director of Central Intelligence from 1993 to 1995; Ambassador to the Negotiation on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe (CFE), Vienna, 1989-1991; Under Secretary of the Navy, 1977-1979; and General Counsel to the U.S. Senate Committee on Armed Services, 1970-1973. He was also appointed by the President as Delegate at Large to the U.S.—Soviet Strategic Arms Reduction Talks (START) and Nuclear and Space Arms Talks (NST), and served in that capacity on a part-time basis in Geneva, Switzerland, 1983-1986. As an officer in the U.S. Army, he was an adviser on the U.S. Delegation to the Strategic Arms Limitation Talks (SALT I), Helsinki and Vienna, 1969-1970.
Mr. Woolsey is currently Co-Chairman (with former Secretary of State George Shultz) of the Committee on the Present Danger. He is also Chairman of the Advisory Boards of the Clean Fuels Foundation and the New Uses Council, and a Trustee of the Center for Strategic & International Studies and the Center for Strategic & Budgetary Assessments. He also serves on the National Commission on Energy Policy. Previously, he was Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Board of Regents of The Smithsonian Institution, and a trustee of Stanford University, The Goldwater Scholarship Foundation, and the Aerospace Corporation. He has also been a member of The National Commission on Terrorism, 1999-2000; The Commission to Assess the Ballistic Missile Threat to the U.S. (Rumsfeld Commission), 1998; The President's Commission on Federal Ethics Law Reform, 1989; The President s Blue Ribbon Commission on Defense Management (Packard Commission), 1985-1986; and The President s Commission on Strategic Forces (Scowcroft Commission), 1983.
Mr. Woolsey is presently a managing director of the Homeland Security Fund of Paladin Capital Group and a member of VantagePoint Management, Inc.'s Cleantech Advisory Council. He has served in the past as a member of boards of directors of a number of other publicly and privately held companies, generally in fields related to technology and security, including Martin Marietta; British Aerospace, Inc.; Fairchild Industries; Yurie Systems, Inc.; and USF&G. He also served as a member of the Board of Governors of the Philadelphia Stock Exchange.
Mr. Woolsey was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and attended Tulsa public schools, graduating from Tulsa Central High School. He received his B.A. degree from Stanford University (1963, With Great Distinction, Phi Beta Kappa), an M.A. from Oxford University (Rhodes Scholar 1963 1965), and an LL.B from Yale Law School (1968, Managing Editor of the Yale Law Journal).
Mr. Woolsey is a frequent contributor of articles to major publications, and from time to time gives public speeches and media interviews on the subjects of foreign affairs, defense, energy, critical infrastructure protection and resilience, and intelligence. He is married to Suzanne Haley Woolsey and they have three sons, Robert, Daniel, and Benjamin.

Dr. Zeman received her Ph.D. in Preventive Medicine with emphasis on Environmental and Occupational Health form the University of Iowa and a Masters in Environmental Science from Southern Illinois University. Her undergraduate background includes degrees in nursing, biology, and Anthropology. She teaches classes in epidemiology, human diseases, environmental health, and environmental and occupational health regulations. Dr. Zeman is a member of the American Indian Science and Engineering Society and of the NAAAS Affiliate, National Association of Native American Studies.
Her research interests include: nitrates in the environment and their impact on human health with focus on children's health, industrial ecological principles of precision manufacturing,international health issues, understanding the health issues of underserved populations, environmental sustainability, workplace health and safety and wellness, and documenting pollution prevention practices on worker health and safety. Dr. Zeman was a Fulbright Scholar to Romania on environmental health issues during the Spring/Summer of 2004.
Dr. Catherine Zeman is also he Director of the Recycling and Reuse Technology Transfer Center, at the University of Northern Iowa where she oversees a staff of 15 student employees, researchers and full and part-time staff. She is an Associate Professor in the Health Division, School of HPELS, at the University of Northern Iowa.
